A Sense of Place is a national juried exhibition celebrating the diversity of contemporary American art through works that reflect the many meanings of place. Open to participants from throughout the United States, this event, now in its 43rd year, seeks to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work being generated by contemporary American artists. Rather than limiting artists to geographic landscapes, the exhibition embraces personal, cultural, emotional, and conceptual interpretations of belonging, memory, identity, and environment, showcasing a wide range of media and artistic approaches from across the United States.
