‘Mother’ is a series of paintings depicting a mother’s concern for her child, their future, their safety, and their overall well-being. 

The series was directly inspired by and features my mother, whose consistent presence and source of practicality in the lives of her children stood in stark contrast to the glaring absence of a father-figure.

The mixed media technique in expressive style supported by broad brush strokes is an attempt to illustrate the strong sense of safeguard provided by a mother to protect her child.
